In response to the development and changes of the media industry, the department adopts a convergent and innovative model, combines the latest theories and practices, develops a complete journalism education and practical training that can be in line with the industry, and integrates traditional media and new media for digitally integrated lean education and practice train.

In order to train students for a more in-depth and specialized journalism major, the department strengthens the basic theory and practical courses and training of journalism and communication in the freshman and sophomore year. The third year of entry into the professional course of the Department of Journalism aims to cultivate students' high-level professional knowledge and skills in journalism and communication, in order to cope with the trend of digital convergence and media integration, and train students to become diverse and multi-functional media professionals. In the first and second semesters of the junior year, the professional course "Communication Practice" is designed to enable students to have a complete theoretical education and sufficient practical exercises to cultivate diverse and integrated communication professionals. Seniors enter the industry for internships, directly experience the changes and training of the media, strengthen students' practical ability, and strive for employment opportunities upon graduation.
